"Library Classic Conversations"
New! Join Maestro Intriligator and others for a noon time "Library Classic Conversations." These events will be held at the Laramie County Library the Friday before each concert. The first event will be on Friday, September 26 at noon at the library. Library Classic Conversations are open to the public. Bring a brown bag lunch, meet the conductor, and have some of the mystery and formality taken out of classical music. The Traditional Classic Conversations will still occur at 6:30 before each masterpiece concert.

The masterpiece series begins with two well-known and beloved classics, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor. Moscow-born guest pianist Vassily Primakov is noted for his "blazing and deeply personal" playing. He joins our new Maestro for Tchaikovsky's passionate and noble piano concerto. Dvorak's musical tribute to our country, the New World Symphony, features many well-known melodies and is perhaps most famous for the melody "Goin' Home".
